COUNCIL COMMITTEES

East Arnhem Shire Council Committees are subject to control and direction by the Council. East Arnhem Shire Council has established a number of committees to deliver executive and advisory functions on behalf of Council.

Committee members are appointed by the council; as such, membership to council committees are not limited to Elected Members.

Established East Arnhem Shire Council Committees:

• Animal Welfare & Control Sub-Committee
• Audit Committee
• Executive Committee
• Finance Committee
• Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group

Where possible face to face meetings are preferred; however due to the costs and vast remoteness and distances between communities, committee meetings are mostly conducted via teleconferences.
