Dr Emma Kennedy recognised by Melbourne University

East Arnhem Shire Council Veterinarian, Dr Emma Kennedy, has been recognised for her work in Animal Welfare throughout East Arnhem, awarded the inaugural

University of Melbourne Faculty of Veterinarian Science Young Alumnus Achievement Award.

The Award was created to recognise the outstanding achievement made by alumnus, within ten years of graduation, to local, Australian or international communities, and is part of the wider Alumni Awards which aim to acknowledge those Alumni making outstanding contributions to their profession and society, showing exceptional dedication and leadership in their field.

Dr Kennedy will travel to Melbourne to be presented the award at the Faculty of Veterinary Science Graduation Ceremony on 6 December 2013. This award is a great tribute to the exceptional work that she carries out throughout remote regions of the Northern Territory, passing on her knowledge and mentoring local community members to improve overall animal management in East Arnhem. Well done Emma.
