East Arnhem Regional Council (EARC) have achieved a new record for the sign off for its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 30th June 2017.
This year the annual Audited Financial Statements were signed off by the external Auditors on 31st August 2017. This is a further 3-week improvement of Council’s record last year when EARC was the first to sign off among the Regional Councils in the Northern Territory for financial year FY15-16.
The NT Government requires all Councils to submit their audited accounts, along with their organisational statutory reporting, by 15 November each year.
East Arnhem Regional Council CEO, John Japp, commended Latitude 12 team for their efficiency in ensuring early sign off of an unqualified report.
“The early sign off assists Council in timely submission of acquittal reports to funding agencies thus allowing Council to continue to seek funding for the various projects and services expeditiously” said Mr Japp.
Latitude 12 looks after Council’s accounting and financial processing, together with other managed business services.
Latitude's commitment to excellence in the delivery of services to its clients has contributed to this success, and Council looks forward to continuing to build on this strong relationship in a bid to provide the highest level of services possible to our constituents.
